FAB 2026: Putting finance centre-stage
The Finance, Accounting & Bookkeeping Show (FAB) has always been a place to see new tech and meet peers. From 2026, it becomes something bigger: a year-round marketplace powered by AccountingWEB’s 30,000 daily users and shaped by the live data those visits generate.
We sat down with Joanne Birtwistle, editorial director at AccountingWEB, to find out what the shift means for visitors.
“Finance” joins the name – and the agenda
“Accountants in business are a big part of the profession – roughly 40% of our daily AccountingWEB audience,” explains Birtwistle. “Adding finance is simply acknowledging who already shows up and saying, ‘you belong here too’.”
A dedicated Business of Finance stage debuted in 2025, and for 2026 the brief widens: sessions on systems modernisation, ESG reporting, risk, talent and board-level strategy will sit alongside the traditional tax and compliance favourites.
An all-year-round model, not a two-day spike
“FAB is the live expression of a newsroom that runs every weekday,” Birtwistle explains. Through AccountingWEB’s podcasts, interviews and insight pieces, you’ll encounter the tech, trends and voices that matter long before March rolls around. So when you walk into FAB 2026, you already know which vendors are worth your time and which sessions will move the needle for your business. You arrive informed, focused, and ready to act.
Vendors move from side show to core content
Around 40% of the 2026 agenda will feature content shaped by those closest to the tools – but it’s not sales patter. You’ll hear real-world accounts from implementation teams and finance leaders who’ve lived the tech transition first-hand. “Vendors are part of the ecosystem, and we’re giving them room to share real-world experiences with an engaged audience. FAB is designed to make it easy for the right people to find each other, turning insight into action and connections into progress,” says Birtwistle. Expect to connect with the right partners, find the right tools and get advice that genuinely meets your needs.
